Perfect spot for lunch and dim sum! This is a must stop if you’re this area. Any of the dumplings and sumai options are worth ordering. Their noodles are just as good if you’re craving some extra food. It can get busy but it seemed people were being seated quickly or waited for a short time.

The disum seemed fresh and authentic and eyes-catching. Menu were diverse. There are many choices, not only diímum like rice, noodle… But as they tried to put as many table as possible, the air inside was very dense and at a point it was hard to breath and different to move as there was not enough space between tables.

A Taste of Cantonese Dim Sum with Parisian Street Vibes For many Parisians, Chinese restaurants often mean grab-and-go boxes—microwaved, dumped onto a plate, cheap, and just okay. A solid option if you're broke, but not exactly a destination. But most Parisians? They crave a sidewalk terrace. Somewhere to sip a drink and talk for hours. Enter this Cantonese spot with a name that commands attention: "Da Zhong Guo" in French, and even bolder in English—"The Royal China". The location couldn’t be better—just a few minutes’ walk from Châtelet. Here, you’ll find just about everything you’re craving from Chinese cuisine. For example: To start, I ordered a small pitcher of wine, paired perfectly with boiled edamame—such a great combo for nibbling and sipping. The real star? Dim sum. The soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), shrimp dumplings (har gao), and rice rolls are all excellent. Plenty of sides to choose from too—mouthwatering chicken, various meat and veggie dishes. Portions are just right, flavors are balanced and never too heavy. And the kitchen? Fully open. You walk in and immediately see several chefs at work. One thing that really stood out: a plate of tiny dumplings dyed green with spinach juice. The craftsmanship? Absolutely top-tier.
